Difference

There is a difference in the play and the novel like Henery Clerval dies by the monster choking him and not by beating him to death and his father and Elizabeth were still alive. And Victor is accused for Henery murder in Ireland. Then he became ill during his jail time and his father comes and vists him. And Victor during his way back home he blames himself for all three deaths but everyone including his dad thought it was still part of the dillurium that he suffer. He still hasn't told anyone about what he has done. I wonder what it is like to keep that kind of extreme secert botteled inside you. What do you think?

  1. I have never had to keep a secret that extreme but I'm sure that it definatley wouldn't be easy and I don't think I could keep a secret that long.

  2. I also never have had to keep a secret. But I imagen that such a secret of large stature would slow and powerfully shred me from with in. In dangering me and anyone near me. I also think that we should always have someone with us through life so we can share these secrets that could destroy us.

  3. Victor creates his own "hell" by keeping a secret. I think Shelley is trying to tell us that we need to be connected to others if we are to thrive. Sometimes we can head in the most awful direction when we go nowhere at all.

  4. I think that Victor is just making himslef more miserable by keeping his monster a secret. It would've helped if he had told someone. Nice thought on your blog!

  5. I agree with Laura, Victor is just making himself more miserable by keeping such a big secret bottled up in side. He would have been better off telling someone and dealing with the consequences. Great Blog!
